I have two "older" moultrie cameras that I am having issues with. One is a D40 & the other is a D50. They are the older style cameras that are about as big as a lunchbox & weigh about 13lbs each. The flash doesn't work on one & the other only takes pics if the deer are literally 3' away. Each camera is 5 years old @ the oldest. My question to you guys is, can these be repaired/fixed or am I better off throwing them away? When they worked they were great cameras so I hate to give up on them? Any input would be appreciated. Trash! The technology has advanced so much in 5 years I would ditch them and buy new. Probably could buy at least one new cam for what its going to cost in repair and shipping. That's if they will even work on anything that old.
Trash 'em!!! The money you'll save by getting a new one that uses "AA" batteries will out weight your old cameras with the big clunky batteries!!! I've got a M-990i and I havnt changed batteries in it yet this year and its been out since April!! Worth the purchase!!
If you posted your net score in the contest instead of your gross you cheated yourself. You barely made it with deductions dude!
Thanks fellas. Not whT I wanted to hear but I had a feeling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
Id keep em but just keep them as decoys to put your newer, smaller ,maybe even black flash or IR cams on if you ever have any problems with theft or trespassing . But other than that you could toss em. And with new ones you will save enough money on batteries vs the old moultries that the cams will pay for themselfs over keeping the old ones.
i bought one of the moultrie panoramic 150s. its a great camera and its really durable. its pretty much like having 3 cameras, which covers a better range of area. its expensive, but worth it.
