So I've got a year or so old Moutrie game camera. It quit working last fall. Got it out and called customer service. They claim that Energizer and Duracell batteries are the only ones that will provide the right amount of power. Has anyone else ran into this? It seemed to run just fine with Rayovacs the first 2 runs through.

I would call BS on that. I've been running Rayovacs in both of mine without issue. The brand isn't going to make much difference, they will put out the same power. Only difference might be how long they last, but even difference there will be minimal if at all.

The batteries I'm using now are cheaper than Rayovac and I've been using them for 3 months.

In the manual for my m550 says to use Duracell, energizer or Rayvonic so I don't see why that would cause a problem.
