I have set up 2 of these phones now. It's a great phone with some cool apps and more to come.

What do you need to know Scott? I have setup Iphones, blackberry's, and windows moboles phones.

I will say my next phone will be the droid.

Battery life, the durability of the keypad slide.... Etc etc... Anything that could sway me one way or the other.

Durability-wise it's hard to say since it's such a new phone. I can tell you that Todd and one of our techs at the office both have Droids and really really like them. Todd even went as far as to say he may like the Droid better than his iPhone.

I have played with them a little bit, but not enough to really have my own opinion on them. Come spring when I'm up for a new phone I too will be getting a Droid to replace my current Blackberry.

For a slider phone, I would give it 4 stars for initial feel. I never liked sliders, due to the cheapness, and play you get when you slide it open. I always feel like I am going to break them. The droid on the other hand, feels solid. It is a bit heavy, for my taste, but if that is all, then I would love to have it.

I don't though. I have sprint so I got the HTC Hero...

Android rocks BTW I can't put mine down. lol.

When I am up for renewal, I will be looking hard at the Droid to replace my Blackberry.

Well, I hated my sprint service so bad I bought out all 3 of our phones contracts and went with Verizon...

I got the Motorola Droid... Pretty badass so far!

If there is one thing I could change on my phone, its the browser.

I have ATT because there's very little verizon service here.

I'm still using a motorola razr, I'm old school. I've wanted a phone that, you know, called people.
My razr is all screwed up now, too much abuse I guess. It constantly dials the asterisk symbol to entertain itself.

Maybe I should look into these new toys. Is the iPhone still where it's at for ATT service??

Flawless so far. Very easy to use. Much, much more so than my Samsung Instinct was. Way faster 3G service as well on Verizons network, so far anyhow. :)

I happen to use the BlackBerry Storm2, But I messed with one of these for a while the other day and I was pretty impressed. Seems real user friendly, but I did not really like the keyboard. I have heard many good things about them from a friend that has one. With VZW you have a 30 day return policy just in case.

Christine about the Iphone, the wife and I both have them. They are very fragile both of our screens are cracked. We have unlimited minutes due to the time I use in the summer. Our bill is $340/month. An extra $35/line for a iphone. Im not happy with battery life either.

I'd love to get a Crackberry or a Droid, but I know I am too rough. I have the 2nd Gen Casio G's One. (older boulder) IMO it's way more durable than the new versions. I have done every thing with mine. It's been in the river, on a table in a downpour, dropped down concrete steps, thrown at a buddy out of a treestand. The thing is perfect for me. I do miss the ability to seriously browse though. Unless they come out with a Droid HD, I'll probably stick to what I got.

Not true. Apple offers a warranty on the iPhone with the option of upgrading your AppleCare Protection to 2 years. Here's a link

Also I have had an iPhone since the first day it was released and have had no problems with it being "fragile". I workout with mine, hunt with mine and I would not consider it fragile.

And battery life...I can listen to the ipod on it and talk on it all day without it needing recharged. If you start watching video, surfing the web, or using high powered apps/games then obviously it will drain the battery faster.

Does the Apple care cover lost or damaged phones? Nope. At least the Apple care plan I bought doesnt. I droped mine out of my chest pocket when bending over to tie my boots and cracked in multiple spots the screen, the wife had hers slide of the arm of the couch onto the carpet and shatered the screen. I personally call that pretty fragile. Our Apple care Does Not cover this and it is $200 each to fix them. I talk and use my phone alot in the summer and I am yet to make it through 1 full day with out needing to recharge.
