Here's one of our racecars, it's no race boat but she still has some power!!

My dad is the one who drives, but i've been being trained in slowly for the last year or so. His plan is getting me behind the wheel for a few non point races this year. After pitting for him for 10 years, I'm more than ready to be racing my own car.

here are a few more of our toys....

My brother and I built this a couple years ago, it's got a honda cb360 motor. Built the frame from scratch, she's got all the bells and whistles, does 71 on the gps.

And this is the barstool racer I built back in highschool. Honda 50cc, 3 speed suicide shifter, mini dragster fuel tank. We take it with to the races to run around the pits with, and every once in awhile I'll drive it over to a buddys house.

Not the best pictures in the world, but it's the only one i have.

 Ultra, dude thats some serious motor in such a little boat  That would scare the hell out of me :D Thats sweet ;)
Eric those are some wil toys :D I love em ;)
Mine has been in the making for 11 years, it went on hold for along time after the third kid came along ;)
Its a 1974 Vega wagon but I have changed the front end to look like a 71-73 with the small split bumpers and oval grill. I aso changed the back bumper to the earlier model to, and a custom built by me steel lower valance. I had to stretch the wheel openings to accept the monster Mickey thompsoms. I self narrowed a ford 9" housing but had the axles resplined. I made the four link set up as well as the back half frame. I tubed it and caged it also. I modified the front control arms to accept s-10 ball joints as well as s-10 spindels and rotors so I could use 15" rims instead of the tiny 13" that were stock with them. I used a s-10 master cylinder for better braking also. I have built a 95% completed 357 chevy. Its a 4 bolt main 350 with a .040 over bore. speed pro pistons and old fuelie camel hump heads that are very modified. They now have hardened seats and 202-160 valves. New valve guides and guide plates. competition springs and retainers as well as ported and polished chambers. They are also gasket matched to the intake and will be to the headers also. They have Harland sharp roller rockers also. Its pump gas friendly (barly) @ 10:5:1 compression. The intake is an aluminum edelbrock victor JR. It has a nasty solid cam and lifters as well. should be around 400 hp in a 2,800 lb car ;) Im almost done with the body work and it was crap when I got it. There is not a drop of the old paint on this car as it was took down to bare metal and all the rot and damaged fixed right.

this was just a bbc 496 endurance engine all roller deal gave five years of great service before threw up on the rev limiter of 6400 after about 20 miles of on/off the throttle, it was a weekday at the lake in the fall of the year and i paddled for about two miles before rescue came. hp was around the 650-700 hp range. I can tell you on open water i have never heard such a horrible carnage come from a engine pulling hard at wide open to zero rpm in a matter of seconds. all junk now the block, carillo rods, pistons, heads, cam.

the current engine is a wild 565 4.600 bore x 4.250 stroke all roller alum/bowtie heads tunnel ram 2 660 carbs around 800 hp on the motor.pulled 7300 rpm last fall just on the motor has a big shot as backup +350hp

the 601 t/d bbc 4.610 x 4.500 stroke all roller, 380 pro action heads, custom tunnel ram w/twin 1050 doms over 900 hp on motor has 2 stages of nos for backup + 500 hp this motor in my hydro made me re-think what i was doing. explosive was the word i would use

The closest I've ever come to seeing drag boats is on tv, and that is scary enough to watch, must be an absolute rush though!

We blow one motor up about every 2 years or so, last year we stuck a rod straight through the block. It was messy.

In the race cars we run a 60 over mopar 360, that will turn 7600 on a regular basis. Nothing too special about them, however we're getting about 410hp/400tq off a 2 barrel holley. Them darn chevy guys with more aftermarket run about 425/415.

That's Rice Lake Speedway, we've run there every saturday night for the last 6 or so years. Before that it was Superior Speedway, Cedar Lake, and Kopellah.

A lot of the tracks around here have switched to Nascar, Superior and Cedar Lake for example. In a few more years I think WISSOTA will be completely phazed out, it's really a dying organization.
