    I'm sure it's just a freak of nature. I can't for the life of me figure out how it came to be. This is what we've had below the dam at our hatchery site for the past 2 days. This is off to the side where there's a little backflow going on. It's so cool. These "Ice Lilly Pads" as I call them are from 12 to 15 inches round. Truly a cool happening. Our hatchery is to the left side of these pictures under the spillway of the dam.

    You call it pancake ice... I call it lilly pads. LOL Thanks for the link. Never heard of it or saw it before. These things are only about an inch or so thick..... but they are cool. Again, thanks for the link.

    The only reason I new it, was because I saw it on Deadliest Catch a few times.
