I'd eat grass carp, bighead carp, silver carp, and buffalo fish before I'd eat catfish. It's not that catfish is bad... the other fish are just a lot better. :)

Lean meat is overrated. I don't understand why anyone takes the skin off a chicken or trims the fat off a steak.

Trim the fat, ruin the steak. Carp and catfish = fun to catch and throw em back. I had the opportunity this past weekend to bowfish carp or catch little 10 inch crappie. Caught my quota in crappie. I would rather clean 50 little crappie than 1 carp or catfish.

I wouldn't say horseradish is "lots" of compliments. Do you put mustard or ketchup on a burger or hotdog?

Some of you people are crazy!! Carp over catfish? Eeew!

My recipe for carp: Score it real good with a sharp filet knife, wrap it in tinfoil with lots of herbs and spices, and lay it on a cedar plan and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove contents, throw away carp in tinfoil and eat cedar plank. :D

I agree with the salmon, Cooked salmon is horrible to me, but you must not have had catfish the right way, and I can prove to you that size does not affect taste if you cook them the right way.

Let's see... most overrated food? Hmmm...

First thing that comes to mind is sushi, even though I had a bunch for lunch yesterday. I did have it ONE time at a place devoted to sushi in one of the various big cities I've travelled to and it was really good, but for the most part what you see on Chinese buffets isn't that good.

What else? Gotta agree on the wings... though the little drumsticks in wing sauce gives you enough meat that makes it worth it. I leave the wings to the person sitting across the table from me... :)

Tuna steaks in a big, fancy restaurtant is WAY overrated, LOL... I'll never forget that one: I'm in another big city with a ig expense account and walk into a fancy, schmansy seafood place... decided on a tuna steak for like $43 because it promised "fresh steak filets" or something like that. They brought it to me and, while it looked good, it tasted just like ... tuna. :( What was I thinking? LOL... at least I didn't come to that conclusion on my own dollar...

got to agree there, sushi can be either fabulous or abysmal... most is abysmal...

disagree with this... overrated? maybe doesn't stop it from being excellent finger/bar food when havin a few beers with the guys... again, depends on who's fixin 'em... i've yet to find any chain restaurant like Hooters that has good wings...

another that needs to be prepared proper to be good... Blackened Ahi Tuna from a good restaurant is a food of the gods, but there are enough places out there that overcook it and it turns into dried/warm Chicken of the Sea from the can...

Yeah Seven, but with the drummies you ge the same flavor AND some meat to actually go along with it! :D

Agree on the Blackened Ahi... but I'll never just order "tuna steak" again. That was the actual description.... Again, a big "Duh!" moment for me! :D

Beer can chicken on the grill tonight for me seasoned with montreal seasoning. Got some cold brews going and might just have to have a gin and tonic since it about 90. A real deck night around these parts.

I could eat sushi everyday of the week...if I could afford it. I can go to a sushi joint and drop some coin so I try to limit myself.

I'd rather shoot 50 carp than clean 1 crappie. ;)

Greg, these aren't the common carp I'm talking about. The asian carp and the buffs have mild, flaky white meat. Way better than the mushy, muddy tasting catfish at the restaurants.

Oh and tuna should be eaten raw.

I could live the rest of my life on wings, fried chicken and ribs.

I'm just don't like mushrooms...any kind. And yes, people think I'm crazy that I don't like morels. I don't think I've met another person in Michigan who doesn't love them. I still help people look for them, although I spend more time looking for deer sign than mushrooms. ;)

You people are crazy!!! Wings?? Ribs?? Fied Chicken?!?!?! Come on!! And I love Catfish especially fried to perfection catfish!!

    Sushi -yes

    Caviar-yes

I cant believe no one has mentioned turkey breast! That stuff needs plenty of seasoning.

I think crab legs are overratted just becasue its a lot of work for a little meat but I still love them. And lobster goes along the same line.
