G N R was amazing back in the day. kissed my first girlfriend to sweet child o mine...... People are very biased to the music they listened to when they were coming of age in there mid teens to early 20's. thats why people from the 70's listen to classic rock stations..people from the 80s are still wearing stone washed jeans, and kids from the 90's (like me) still think pearl jam rocks and kids from the 00's think linkin park is amazing. it's sad to say but nowadays....rock is DEAD. its pure crap. most serious rock stations are overplaying stuff from the 90's and 00's because there is nothing good out there now. its time for another major shift in rock, we didn't get one in the 00's like we did in the 80's, or 90's....wonder what the next big change will be?

I think its just because they are overplayed on radio. im a huge DMB and doors fan...but if I hear "what would you say" one more time.....LOL
True...radio often over plays songs and often ones that are not that good to begin with...my favorite DMB songs have rarely if ever seen any radio play
If you consider major suckage as talent... I don't get the bagging on GNR either. Sure Axle is bat **** crazy... But they made some great stuff.
Neil Peart is hands down the greatest rock drummer of all time. He also writes all of the lyrics to the songs. Alex Lifeson does not set the world on fire but Rush music is incredibly complex so just playing it well takes skill. Getty Lee fingers a complex bass line with his left hand while playing keyboard with the right, all while singing.
I personally LOVED led Zeppelin until I found out most of there songs were about lord of the rings.......LOL!!!!!!!! EDIT: BUT BUT BUT...they are one of the ONLY bands NOT to sell out and tour without all of there members...that earned all the respect in the world you can get if you ask me!! UNLIKE lynyrd skynrd!!! WHAT A JOKE!!
