Wandering if anyone has used this company? Looking to plant some trees on our property this spring. I'm interested in quality, not quantity. They are expensive, but ate they worth it? Very interested in their hybrid oaks. Please give me some thoughts!

I've been thinking about buying some oaks from them this spring, they seem to have a great established root system on their plants. I have some Dunstan Chestnuts on the way from another company. Go to the Quality Deer Management forums, information on Mossy Oak Nurseries and just about everything else land management has been discussed..

This thread got me thinking as I just got a cabin with 32 acres up in northern New Hampshire. A lot of the property has been logged but it does have 30-30 apple trees. We were thinking about planting a few more, but it would be nice to get some oaks in there as well. I know nothing about trees so ill have to research a bit more. About how long does it take an oak to establish itself?

Oaks are why I decided to try the chestnuts first, there are guys getting chestnuts in 4-6 years and deer are suppose to love them. Oaks, depending on the species are more in the 7-10 year range. Mossy oak nurseries if you haven't checked it out have great information on specific oak species. I'm thinking of picking up some low land oak species to plant along some water for the deer and wood ducks.

That time frame isn't too bad. I'll probably look at a mix and I'll definitely check out the site in more detail. Im 26 now so it should be well established by my mid 30s.

Just placed an order today. The hybrid oaks are selling out fast! Definitely got some of the swamp white oaks. Sounds like they're a go-to!
