I am not the only one who read your first post and thought you went out without sighting in your gun.
Indeed as I didn't understand why the plea for help if he knew the sight had moved. Seems like a simple solution to the problem.
The plea for help was that maybe someone had the same problem with those sights and had a solution or some good sights for that gun to recommend. Just thought I could get some help here, not get flamed. My bad....
I am not familiar with the factory sights on a Mossberg 835 but I assume that they can be adjusted and set to a specific adjustment. Usually, you have to loosen an allen screw or 2, move the sight, and then retighten the allen screw(s). If those sights are poorly designed and you can not lock them down, I would take them off and replace them with a set of quality sights like the ones made by Williams that attach to the rib of the barrel. The rear sight gets moved in the same direction you want the impact to go so if you are hitting high you would move the rear sight down. Here are the sights I am describing: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/67...-black-fiber-optic-green?cm_vc=ProductFinding As was said earlier, 50 yards is no gimme shot on a turkey. Especially using a factory full choke and not a tighter turkey choke. The 30 yard shot should have been well within the effective range of the factory full choke. Hope you get it working right and get another chance to redeem yourself. Good luck!
Thanks a lot, I will look into those sights. Hopefully I can get them soon so I can get back into the woods. This is killing me lol.
I have the same gun. I've dialed it in pretty good but even so 50 yards is a pretty long poke. Sent from the woods using Tapatalk
