I know everyone has there own morning ritual before heading out for a morning hunt, whats yours? I wake up at 3:30 descent, pack my bag, double check everything, load my truck and leave for 4:30. Get there for 5 and boom ready and waiting at 5:30.
I rub the antlers of my Sons biggest buck,on the wall. I have no real big set of my own to rub.....sigh!!!!!
Load car up night before...good ole 330 am wake up as well...shower, put on under layer(s)...coffee and oatmeal down the hatch and hit the road! ...i like to get in the stand for 430
Hit the snooze a few times like mentioned above , pour some coffee , make some eggs and sausage , pack a sandwich and snacks , if not done the night before , take a healthy dump , jump in the shower , spray down as getting dressed , walk two miles to one of my stands .
I dont have much of a ritual.... However my girlfriend does... Every morning hunt when I am rolling out of bed she tries to make me late by trying to get a round of action in... She never wins I always tell her "Its bow season... Wait till gun season!"
Wake up, coffee, light snack, bathroom, drive to farm, dress, scent away, figure wind direction, pick stand location, place summit to tree and climb, enjoy a day on stand. Life is good!
Most of the season: Wake up, dump, breakfast, shower, drive, load up with all my gear, walk to tree and climb. Opener: Wake up, dump, breakfast, dump, shower, dump, drive, dump in the parking lot of the WMA, load up with gear and walk-in. I get a little excited on opener.
Wake up, eat some grub, try and force the biggest DUMP possible, load the truck up, crank some good ol' country. Get to the property, think,"do I need to take a DUMP again?"
Ok its official, Im calling it out. The words "morning ritual" will always be linked with Dumping. Now and forever. What happened in this thread will echo in eternity.
