The Mission: Kill a turkey before the clock strikes twelve on Pennsylvania's spring turkey season.

The Players: Rybohunter and The Undisputed King of Turkey Hunting

    The Place: Southwestern Pennsylvania

    The Outcome: Successful.

Rybo and I had a combined 5 hours' sleep going into today's hunt, so we had to dig deep and make it happen as the bell was about to toll on the 2009 season.

Needless to say . . . we got it done with plenty of time to spare.

    Enjoy.

Thats awsome, I gave up on today, the birds here in Indiana County have entirely shut up and are onto their summer patterns, spent the day doing some fishing instead.

Rybo's head is like 5 feet wide. It took up the whole damn screen.

Stinkin' turkeys . . . they NEVER come in the way they're supposed to.

We could've let them come all the way into the dekes, but they'd have practically clothes-lined themselves on Ryan's gun barrel when they ran past. LOL

If you look real close, the bird's head is in the picture. You just have to watch it and pay attention. It's in there. Barely.

He kinda had to shoot when he did - b/c we were sitting in the wide-open, and those birds were standing at about 8 yards, and closing.

I still have one more turkey video coming. My homeboy shot a big one on opening day, and he has the tape. Once I get it back, I'll be putting out one more kill shot. This one is much, much better - I was calling and running the camera and I actually got the whole kill shot on film.

I wouldn't expect much greatness out of this year's spotlighting videos, but I'm anticipating a big summer for trailcam action on a few hammerheads. That plan will start rolling here...soon.
