They have a statewide bag limit of 3 bucks. Which is WAY too many IMO. But the state of Tennessee is more concerned with controlling the population instead of quality control. I will say the population in my area, in the last 5 years has ballooned like crazy. Where I live (Blountville and Piney Flats area) the numbers have really gotten up there. They changed the buck bag limit a couple years ago, from 2 to 3. There are some counties in Tennessee where you are allowed to kill up to 3 antlerless deer a day. It's crazy. If they would impliment some sort of antler restrictions, Tennessee could really have some potential to produce some solid deer. One piece of property I hunt in Bluff City, we have placed antler restrictions on ourselves for the past 4 years and have smacked a bunch of does. We are really starting to see a difference in the quality of deer and the number of bucks running around.
