One a month. My point. From what I understand, there were multiple every weekend.

Our only local indoor (without driving 1.5 hours) is a 5 target lane at Gander Mountain. You shoot 3 arrows at 5 targets, twice. It's ok for a Monday night, but man I wish we had more.

Well, if you want to do the rotation you can have one every weekend. The BAC, Berwick, Benton, Orangeville, and Montour Game Preserve are all alternating. That's one every week.

Where I live, there's definitly a higher percentage of bow hunters now. I don't think I personaly know 1 deer hunter under the age of 30, who isn't also a bowhunter.
There were more hunters and less bowhunters here in the 70's.

I was 12 years old when I could buy my first deer tag in 1975 and when we would go out for breakfast after hunting in our camo the looks we would get was crazy, Because we were one of only a handful of bowhunters in this area. I don't even remember seeing other hunters back then, Now gun hunting hunters all over the place but bow no.. Walt

    Another thread spurred these thoughts.....

    I didn't know a single male, when I was a kid, who DIDN'T hunt. I'm dead serious.

Conversely, I didn't know a single person who bowhunted. Not one.

I never really thought about that. It lends even more credence to the fact that our deer herd has been the biggest spawning grounds for the influx of bowhunters IN NC. (my opinion)

When I started bowhunting back in the early 70's compounds were not even legal for hunting in Pa! In those days you hardly ever saw another bowhunter while hunting. I'm very sure there's many more afield these days.

if your state requires hunter safety course, check the enrollment numbers,
in my state of mo,fewer people are signing up.
ther is a lot of info in the numbers, where is the conservation dollars going to come from ? you and me? they arnt going to budget less -just charge us more.

I wish are conservation dept would buy more ground for us bowhunters and stop the catering to the duck hunters so much.
