"Hoyt" and I left work and headed to the barber shop where I got my ears lowered and then headed to the dove pond. I arrived at 6:30 and by 7:45 all these little guys were in my vest. This takes the total to 91 doves that have been killed over him in his young 13 weeks. Total for the season on hunts that I've been on is 167 doves. Hoyt is doing extremely well... pointing, retrieving... everything. I'm stoked.

Sorry, just had to get my brags in :D

Is that an 870 Wingmaster? I like those guns alot.

Mr. Hoyt looks like he is well on his way to being a great hunting dog. You must be pumped.

Edit: Nevermind, I see that it's an auto.

Lol, gettting him to stand there wasn't the problem... he know what "Whoa" means. The hard part was getting him to look at the camera and not the stuff he wanted to put in his mouth so bad! :D

    Live2draw... you're correct is the 1100 G3 20ga.

Lil Will... those SW quail are going to need some thinning out this year :D

GregH - I'll probably never own another breed...

Damn NY anyway. We don't get to hunt doves. I could get my limit in about 10 minutes in m y back yard. I do miss the dove hunts in Georgia. I was always on the invite list to several gentlemen hunts there.... plus some good ole boy hunts. I love doves to eat too. Damn NY. Everyone thinks of Doves of Love and won't let us hunt them.

P.S. You're over the limit. LOL

Yes Lil Will, kinda like Lil Wayne only a whole lot smarter and a whole lot cooler. I've seen more quail this year than I have in a loooooong time. I can see it now... "Dubbs and Lil' Dub ballin' up the bobwhites in 2010" :D
