ferg, I just bought a sony cam the week before the gtg. It's very similiar to Mech Doc's, but not HD. The memory card is the way to go. the cameras w/the hard drive are nice, but if the hard drive develops an issue, game over. That's why we went w/the card, plus you can hand the card to anyone for quick uploads etc. just my .02

I actually purchased a camera Wednesday night. I went with the Sony that has the 8gb flash memory built in. Got a good deal on it and really liked the fact that it has a 60x optical zoom. None of the other camera's had that. I also went out yesterday and purchased some software to do video editing. I made my first video lastnight just messing around to try it and it turned out pretty cool. Was able to add music and titles and credits.

I actually created a YouTube page the other day so I can start uploading all of them. Following in the young Siman's footsteps!

I ended up getting a different software Caleb. The one you have wasn't instock anywhere around my house so I got the Pinnacle Studio Ultimate. Figured I would try it out for now while I am learning.

That video "Rick James Owned" is hilarious! Well it all looked fun, wish I could have ventured over there for it.
