scarps, this is a walleye exclusive extravaganza! However, we do catch the occasional sturgeon and of course some trash fish, but we're there for the eyes. This year we started fishing the day before Easter and were literally 1 day behind the ice flows coming down the river. Our group rents a condo or house on Grosse Ile for a week each year and have a blast. Most of the bass and crappie fishing takes place later in the spring and summer, but in April...walleye is king!
