Hello, I'm still pretty new at this, only my 3rd season. This year I have more bucks than does around, is this going to be a problem. Are they going to leave searching during the rut. It's early and I'm anticipating and hoping more does show up. The past 2 seasons I've never seen a buck until the day before I shot em and lots of does around. What would you do?

Have the same issue at my place. Only have a few doe on cam and a crap ton of 1.5-2.5 yr old bucks. IMO they will be around your area for sanctuary during the day, especially during the rut when they burn so much energy chasing does. I would personally try and find their routes to and from food and bedding.

More bucks than does is a good thing. This should make competition fierce for the does and produce more intense rutting activity.

Yeah, rattling and grunting should work great in your area.

I have the same situation and I seem to get a lot of heavy ruts; not every season though. Like mention if you rattle and grunt smart, it should work well. The only down fall to not a lot of does is it isn't the smartest to harvest a doe then; especially with the predicted winter.
