I have no problem with respecting Native American culture. Last I checked, they weren't trying to blow us up because of our beliefs. As for the moose, I would have shot it not knowing that it was special to them. Would I apologize for my legal actions? No. Would I respect that they wanted to honor the animals life? Absolutely. I lived 1 mile from a Reserve in Ontario for 9 years and the family that lived there were some of the nicest people I have ever met. They were now Christian and I felt bad for them to be so. The life they lived before we got here was honorable and as close to "God" as anyone can ever get, IMO. So, they believe a white moose is a sign from the heavens. I don't see the big problem.
I've had a good run, but alas I was outed. I can hide my ways no more fellas. After that dirty accusation, I'd like to change my stance. I'd light the cape on fire while peeing on it in a head dress of feathers from that creepy pawnshop downtown and then upload the video to Youtube.... because I take **** from no one!
I respect true Native American culture more than any other culture or religious beliefs out there. I really can't understand the "go **** themselves" attitude from a lot of guys here.
It's not their place to push their culture on anyone, that's my issue. He killed the moose on public land. It's none of their damn business.
If they basically ruined my name and made me look like a total a-hole on world wide news, socail media and news papers im sorry but the only thing they would get is the gut pile
Hunters who killed an albino moose later admitted to making a mistake after being chastised by local aboriginal communities. Chastise for killing a legal moose on public land?
Did I miss something? Where did the tribe "bother" the guy or try to push their belief system off on him?? Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they just release a statement expressing their sadness the animal was shot but also saying they understood that it was not done with any intended disrespect (paraphrasing) and went on to request the use of the pelt for ceremonial purposes? What am I missing?
The link provided said chastised and that the community was outraged. It didn't give any examples. Got any? Also, those words are used to sell articles. Catch words to get your attention. Without concrete proof, I don't believe any media headline. Ever.

Really? That's it? That article is evidence of ruining someone's name? That article was harmless. Now, the comments are moronic, but the article is harmless.
