That's awesome, literally dropped my phone laughing. As far as the moose thing goes, really people? If the thing was taken legally there'd be no way in hell I'd be giving it bsck to somebody because it was there "special" local attraction. We used to have neighbors that fed the deer around and thought they were so nice just to watch. I never had a second thought about driving right by with one I had just shot in back of truck. Sure got dirty looks but that's life, I still smiled and waved. When asked by the lady and her kids how I could do such a terrible thing I replied because they're delicious.
Some pretty hypocritical people in this thread... always preaching to accept and respect others then telling them to pound sand because of their beliefs? Let me be clear, if killed on tribal land you would be a HUGE jack *** to not give the hide back. If killed on regular public land, you would have to be kind of a pushover to give it back.
What counts as tribal land? Original tribal land? Or the stuff they received in the 1800's as payment for genocide? I find European people arguing about Native American land kinda funny. But like i said, lifes a *****.
I think thats a pretty simple answer, land owned by the tribe counts as tribal land? lol That comparison is akin to me shooting something on someones property and saying well technically you've only owned this land for 10 years, so is it really even yours?
I didn't read anywhere that it was on tribal land. I'm also not sure they're giving the hide back, but only letting them use it for a ceremony.
LOL you are always working angles to make it seem like someone with an opposing viewpoint has a hidden agenda. I said I didn't know where it was killed, but if it was public land keep it. If it was tribal land, don't be that guy and respect the fact that it was tribal land. I'd still offer to loan it to them for a ceremony if they didn't intend on keeping it even if it wasn't tribal land like FEB pointed out.
Btw the moose being shot on public land is not an angle, it's fact. I am pretty sure if they let you hunt their tribal lands shooting the spirit moose would be prohibited.
