Just thought I would bring this up. It's always interesting to get feedback when it comes to hunting the different lunar cycles. I prefer to pay special attention to the moon phases, the days they land on, feeding times, weather like cold snaps and other factors that may contribute to having success during these phases. For the hunter that can't decide what days to hunt or has limited time to hunt, pay special attention to the calendar and of coarse other factors, and you can be more successful in the woods and not wasting time. I already have a computer printoff of october and november with the moon phases on them. As the season draws closer I will keep a close eye on weather, wind direction, feeding or animal activity so that I can try to be at the right place at the right time for a bruiser whitetail.
I hunt whenever possible but pay special attention to increases in sign and activity after the first new moon of October which falls on Oct. 7 this year. Lots of dark nights before and after it and in theory the lack of light will increase reproductive activity in both bucks and does.
