I have a mathews monster 6.0 and ive been looking at selling it and buying a z7. What are your thoughts on this decision? My decision will be made on your thoughts. Im 16 and i hunt ALOT (whitetails). I upgraded bows from a cheap redhead to a new monster 6.0 and im not sure that this bow is the greatest for hunting and such. I dont want to have to buy a new bow for a long time and the one i decide on is going to have to last a long time so i wana pick the best of the two. Im going to be shooting 70lbs on both at 28in. I can sell my Monster right now bare for 500 or so. Thanks for the help!

Of the two I'd go with the Z7 but it's got to be a personal choice based on what YOU need and want. I need a bow that's light, compact, smooth and forgiving. I hunt from the ground, in the mountains and I spend way more time packing and carrying my bow slung on my shoulder than I do shooting it. When it comes time to shoot it I want to be able to draw it in harsh conditions at weird shot angles. When those shots get launched I want the bow to be forgiving of form flaws induced by those weird shots. I use a rangefinder so I don't care how slow the bow is, I don't need it to shoot flat.

You've got to analyze what it is you want to get out of your bow for your hunting situation. It's different for everyone.

I really love being flat to 37yds with my monster but its a very uncomfortable bow to shoot. Harsh draw and beast let down. longer axle to axle..I hope the z7 is better...Another question from 353-333 how much difference in arrow drop?

I shoot an X-Force which is about the same bow and that why I like it, speed. Its flat shooting and it takes a lot of the guess work out of the different ranges. I really don't mind the draw and I have yet have a deer that I did not get a complete pass through. I up graded from my Mathews Outback and gained over 50 fps with the same arrow which makes it nice to get shots through small holes. I like how it shoots and I have no problems with it.
