I guess I will give it a try sometime this year. Any sugestions on use such as application (meaning soil type area and what not) and how long does it last? I have one mineral station and yesterday I found a place near a bedding arear that has a ton of old scrapes near a small branch (tiny creek) that may be good for it. Since its all the rave on here I may as well try it and compare to the trusty old Deer Cane. Who knows, I may just buy some in the next couple weeks.

My best advice is to stay away from the bedding areas with the minerals. You are playing with fire by pressuring the deer in their comfort zone. They bed there for a reason, to avoid humans / predators. If you pressure those bedding areas, they will stop using them.

Stick to low impact community areas (feeding areas, deer runs / travel cooridors, water areas etc). They will find the minerals pretty much anywhere you place them, so there is no need to put unneeded pressure on them in or any where near bedding areas.

Exactly what Buckeye stated! Try the edges of your food plots.
