I have had the same thing happen at my 2 sites I put on our land. Was very very disappointed in it since everyone on this site swears by the product. The deer will walk up to it and smell it and just turn around or walk away without using it.

I thought the same thing when I first put out raxx last year. This spring they seem to realy love it. Not sure what has made the difference.

Gotta be honest, I swear by the stuff. I have one area were they have never touched any mineral product. I had tried em all. Monster Raxx is all they have touched.

Hey Russ can you send me an email with a pic of the mineral site? I would like to take a look at it and try to figure out what is going on.
    Thanks
    Tom

can you post some pics of the area too?
Did you just use the minerals or did you use the spray too?
I was playing around with the acorn spray in my yard the other day and I had squirrels digging a hole by my maple tree

Well it's my second application and this time I used the Apple spray oil and will let you know if there is a difference. But not till the 15th of July :(. It has definetly made a difference in camera shots, I've gone from 20 pictures to 150 !

Try Deer Cane the powder mix. I started a mineral lick on 3/18/12 and had deer hitting it the very next day. I just dug up a 4 ft circle and turned over the the dirt. Then i got a bucket full of creek water and mixed the powder in and poured it on the site. On my last SD pull (6/24/12) the deer have dug a hole about a foot deep trying to get the mineral from the ground.. I tried the monster Raxx in Wisconsin and had the same problem.. They would check it out and walk on by. So when i got my new hunting property in MN i tried Deer Cane and I havent looked back.. In the last 4 months I have had over 3000 pics on just that one site. I check my camera last weekend and just that site had over 600 pics. (That was 3 weeks of pics.) They love it.. Thats just my opinion..

Interesting. I have had success with MonsterRaxx and I just started using it about 2 months ago.

It took our deer approximately 36hours to start pawing and digging the Monsterraxx (which yes I'm in IN and yes we have to dig up the site well before hunting season, pain but we wanted to see how it'd go). Deer Cane is nothing more than ground up salt pretty much. Sure it's great as an attractant but useless as a mineral supplement.
