I don't know why the deer by me don't like minerals on the ground, but they sure love the monster raxx on a log.

My guess would be salinity in the soil. I once saw where a buddy put Deer Caine in pines...deer wouldn't touch it. He then tried it 100 yds away in the hardwoods and the deer tore it up. Up here in Canada we have a product called Rack Stacker that is to be used on rotten stumps. It is low in salt content and formulated by an animal nutritionalist. This stuff makes deer eat stumps. I had a stump that was about 2 1/2 ft across that I put this stuff on in December. By March , the stump was completely gone.I also believe the stump method can be better in drought situations.

Kramer I have heard this quite a bit. I know Pat is a big fan of this method. He also pours the Monster Raxx Whitetail Magnet on the stump so it soaks in.

I put it on the ground for a while too, and they hit it a little. But as soon as I put it on this log they ate a hole through it. Crazy stuff. I have a new log ready for nest year.
