Good god....its the same deer. How many typical 6x7s are running around out there? You can even see distinct color markings in the bases and brows in both pictures. The 2s in the pic with the hunter look shorter because of the angle and how they come off the beam.

I'd say its definitely the same deer. The left G2 has the same bend in it, and the right G5 angles towards the middle in both pictures. Way too many similarities to be different deer.

Who frigging cares? Kinda sad that more are worried about if the two racks match up instead of the fact that this d-bag poached a giant buck.

What a shame! How did he try to alter his tag? Scratch out the 5 and write in 13 so he could take it to the taxi?

Either way, this pretty much sums up PA rifle season. Too many A-holes like this roaming the woods, calling themselves "hunters".

His family probably needed the meat to survive.

Any chance we can post hunter names and photos of every small buck and doe poached, too?

A poacher is a poacher.....but people only get really upset about big bucks because antlers are all that matter anymore.

Maybe the dumba$$ will think about not shooting the first antlered deer that walks by him when he is able to hunt again. Hopefully that is a long long time from now.

So sad that this buck could have been an honest hunters deer of a lifetime. The buck is a stud!

Vito, Justin, you guys are right. It ONLY makes the news when a big rack is part of the story. Sad for sure.

I only knew one family growing up that really, really needed the venison to feed themselves. Everyone knew, even the game wardens in the area, that he and his brother often took a doe or two more than they were legally allowed. But they didn't give them too much grief and knew they needed it for their family. My dad and uncles often gave them some of their deer as well.

Very rarely is anyone ever in that predicament.

Not true in my case, every single poacher should be drug from the woods, hunting license revoked and all equipment taken....unless of course they can truly proove their family 100% has to have the meat.

The fact that Tim Tebow is a christian actually works AGAINST him! Wait, wrong thread and myth.

Here we go...families don't need to poach animals to survive.

While I agree with this mostly, I guess you'd have to know and understand the circumstances I was referring to. I don't like poaching, I don't do it myself. I think it would be an absolute last resort for anyone trying to feed a family as there are usually other options out there. But in the case I was referring to, there wasn't and they readily took any donations they could get. Even the bones were taken to boil off for broths. Trust me, when I first found out about this, I was humbled by what I saw.
