Gonna take a few days off out of the woods to prepare for the next sit in a week. Rain and warm temps in southwestern Indiana. I believe the bucks have does on lock down right now, not seeing any daylight activity. All my trail cameras are getting only early morning or late night buck pictures checking scrapes. Hopefully a real cold snap hits and it wakes them up. Calm yesterday with a West to East wind, but didn’t see anything.
What county are you hunting? I hunt in Dubois County and I have also been getting all my bucks on camera checking scrapes. My pictures of does went down greatly this past week. I don't think they are on lockdown, just a majority of does are laying low so they aren't pushed by smaller bucks. I also hunt around a ton of cornfield's and they just got it out yesterday so I expect things to change now.
Originally I was raised in Martin County. Played for Shoals Jug Rox in high school. I remember going through the country to get to the Northeast Dubois Jeeps gym. I live and hunt in Knox County.
I'm in Posey county. I have the week of the 13th off. I'm hoping the temps drop and the rain lets up so I can hit the woods hard before gun season. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
