Mine flew off the other day, I can't tell a difference but if they do make a difference then I will replace. What you guys say?

I think it’s one of those things where it doesn’t hurt, so maybe it helps, even on a micro scale. Just a few bucks a piece and we’re talking 2-3 fps change at the most? I think they’re worth it. That being said, I don’t think going without them impacts your chances in the woods at all.

I still use them and if I lose one I replace it. From what I can find you only lose 1 - 2 fps but they do eliminate a lot of string vibration.

I don’t know if it really makes todays bows more quiet but anything that reduces shot vibration has to be good for the strings and cablesin the long run so I use them.

It’s not like they cost a fortune.

    mine migrate on the string
I'm not running any speed nocks or anything so they have room to shimmy on down.

I might have to add a thread to ask on benefits of speed nocks

I read somewhere once that they can affect the tune of the bow if you add them after tuning. Not sure I believe that

I run some in conjunction with speed nocks, they offset each other and my bow is dead quiet. Two much weight on a string isn't a good thing but just enough weight takes out the vibrations. On my Xpedite I ran two speed nocks at top and bottom cam, and one dampener on each end.

Took a loud, speed bow and tamed it down while still maintaining 280FPS.

Personally I think all the rubber crap is just added weight and crap. New Bows especially the fact that most weight more than skiff anchors don’t need any thing to really quite them down other than a normal weight hunting arrow

Depends. I and others have string stoppers. Don't see much of a need. Several others don't. I can hear a difference on those. And you don't have to break the bow down to replace them. Think it's worth it for those. Better than earlier options. Just my .02.
