I've searched and searched and found all kinds of KE vs ME debates. I've also found recomended KE for various animals. What I can't find a base or range for Momentum. Strictly whitetail in the Midwest. Current set up is right at 67 KE and .51 ME - good, bad, average, thoughts?

I know that shot placement is everythin and I don't want to go down that road here. Just looking for info on a set up that has some margin for error when things don't go as planned ie. shoulder or something other than just lung.

Your fine! I shoot a 500 grain arrow with 73 ke and .51 or so me. I built these arrows so I could have plenty of punch for whitetail, elk, and hogs if I get the chance.

Thanks, I'm at 439 gr and 11.8% FOC roughly 262 fps. Not a speed machine, but very comfortable to shoot.

Your good with that rig for whitetail...That heavy of an arrow will penetrate well.

That's an awesome setup for anything in North America.

The key is to make sure the bow and arrow are in tune for the best potential penetration possible.
