Has anyone tried the molasses liquid you pour over a stump? I was thinking about giving it a try.

I have had it attract plenty of bears here... never any deer. But I do know most of the deer attractants do contain (and smell like) molasses.

I would rather mix it with corn, they do prefer it over just plain corn.

I used to use sweet stuff like that. Deer love it. I shot a young doe one year and her teeth were rotten. I quit using it after that.

Every furred critter in the woods licks that stuff. Won't hurt unless you're trying to avoid bears, coons, cattle, etc.

I poured it on stump before and they ate the stump up. Also does well to attract them to a Mineral rock. I have also mixed it with corn before and they love it.

Yes, they love it! I've put it on mineral blocks, stumps, corn, and they're always on it within 24 hours.
