As a youth pastor our head pastor suggest certain book to read just to keep up refreshed in our lives and allows us to examine our focus and purpose. This book is really good for any man to read, it talks about alot of stuff good as a man views and what we deal with in the stress of life giving direction on how to balance it all. I think the thing that hit me was a part i just got to in the book where it says "When your on your deathbed and your granddaughter is sitting next to your bed what will you tell her is the most important things in life and whats worth pursuing" First answer always is God first then family but besides that do we wake up looking to please God? Christ's goal was not to prolong his life as most of all us do, but to fulfill the purpose for His life even if it meant dying on a cross for us. I think sometimes we loose track in our everyday life what life is all about, because we are always trying to get ahead and make something of ourselves. When simply all God wants is for you to use your short time on this earth to have a godly home, serve others, Love them, and live a life pleasing to him. Because honestly in the end thats all that will matter to him. I encourage anyone who reads this to get a personal relationship with the father and slow down to listen to what he as to say, life is to short not to!! So simply on my deathbed i'll look over to my granddaughter and tell her "Purse Gods heart and serve others" Amen!! author of the book is Pastor Larry Stockstill a well know pastor in louisiana that has planted over 22,000 churches world wide. Awesome man of God!!
I have iBooks on my phone and got it for $8.99... it's on my phone though..but I have a lot of time at work (I'm a Control Room Operator) so looking forward to it....again thanks for sharing
