Those are great pics Caleb, I think I'll give that mock scrape idea a try in front of my cameras. I can't wait to find a real scrape to set my cameras out on. I've never done that before. Keep the great pics coming.

    Blessings.....Pastorjim

Jim, you gotta do it. Nothing works better at attracting mature bucks (then any scrape).

I set a Reconyx over a scrape last week, I hope to have some decent pix whenever I get around to swappin' out the card. As you guys have mentioned, there just isn't a better way to collect multiple pix of bucks in your area!

Yup, a hot community scrape will bring every buck in the area in.

    Yes sir,

Last year was the first year that my county could, i didnt get one but my brother shot a jake with his bow. I keep a mouth call handy at all times on the stand :D

I had a flock of hens and jakes around me this morning, but no shots.

I had the same problem with my scrape,5 bucks the first week on camera(all dinks) and only one on camera the next week(another dink). Is the camera spooking them or did they just stop using the scrape?

Could be either, or it could be because i didnt freshen it up. Either way i moved my camera to a ridge that leads from some pines into an alfalfa feild. Its always tore up with rubs, and i never had a camera there during the rut.

Here is a video of a buck that was working one of our mock scrapes, we also got a video of an 8pt. standing on his hind legs and rubbing his head in the leaves that were hanging over it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfAt9OeGZhA
