This old post was very helpful. I put out two mock scrapes today. I'll be checking my camera's two or three more times before season opens on September 12th. I've got a good selection of bucks and I'd like to keep them in the area. Knowing that once they lose their velvet they go into territory mode, I figured a mock scrape in August would be more useful than my small food plots.
