Bought some stuff to set up a mock scrape this week, from what I have seen, I pretty much just scrape away leaves and rough up the dirt and pour some piss in it. lol. Im going to put a camera on it, and hunt about 40 yards away from it. Think thats a good idea or what is your guys opinion on it? I bought one of those dripers that only drips during the day. Anybody have any luck with those ? Any advice is good advice from you guys. Thanks!

You are missing 90% of the key to success for a mock scrape. The over hanging branch is crucial if you want to make a successful mock scrape. Ive been working on mastering the mock scrape for years and can get deer to scrape year round (scraping the ground but not always urinating in it until rutting phases) Get an established mock scrape set up early and it turns into a real scrape visited by both bucks and does. Here is some video from my scent trials this year (late summer)
