So I posted a thread regarding mock scrapes about a month ago, how to make them and if they are productive. I set my first one up, very small and used some Buck Fever synthetic Pre/Post on the dirt and some spray on a licking branch. Didn't get any monsters but for the last 12 days I had some very curious visitors stop by on a regular basis, at all hours of the day. Here are just a few pictures out of the 140 I got! I am excited to get a few more set up once season gets closer. This was a very experimental scrape, probably could have made it larger but it worked! Thanks for looking, let me know what you think.

I got 4 trees within 50 yards of there that are perfect for my climber! That scrape was about 2sf and they loved it.

I didn't refresh it... When I got there realized I forgot the synthetics.. But I have some time. I cannot wait till Oct 1! (in IL) I did not expect to see like 8-10 different bucks checking it out, will be refreshing in the next week or 2!

I guess since I did not refresh it after 2 weeks, next experiment is to see if bucks still returned (or if scrape is still active) without adding more synthetics to it. My first picture of a deer on the scrape was a doe probably 45min after I left the woods haha.

Colton, a lot of these young bucks racks look so similar that I am not sure if I have seen them. The bachelor group of 3-5 bucks you see in the picture, I have seen that group a few times, there all 1 1/2- 2 1/2 year old deer. I have seen big deer way in the background but never directly over the scrape. If there are small deer you better believe an older deer will be crusing through your area to claim them does once rut starts. Right now the big ones are probably hanging out solo. Just my newbie thought process.
