Yeah he's local. One pic right as last light about a week or so ago coming out of the woods heading into an open field. I have 2 sets hung for this guy and I'm basically bouncing between them depending on time of day/wind. Come the last week of October I've got 4 straight days to chase him where, provided I have the right wind, I'm pretty much going to park myself by this scrape until he shows up. Not sure if it's the best plan, but it's the one I'm going with.
He's a dandy - Best of luck! It still blows my mind that deer like this live that close to people out there.
That is a great buck. It would be very cool to get him over the mock scrape that you have made. Good luck.
Well if the buck isn't senile... he will drive you crazy. Great buck !! Hope your plan works out better then mine have been. My plans have been working great until the last 40 - 50 yards. Been a crazy year for seeing big bucks while hunting. Getting them close to bow range but not in bow range. Maddening !!!!! Tim
To date I have 6 sits in looking for this deer and I've yet to see him. In fact, 4 of those 6 sits have been deerless entirely. It's a little frustrating, however I believe he's a bit of a loner and likes to live in areas where there's not a bunch of other deer. Doesn't make for good video, but that's just the way of it. Starting next Monday I'll be after him for the last 4 days of this month. Hopefully he's on his feet during daylight.
