Hoping to create my first mock scrape this weekend in an area I hunt next to some feeding fields. The area is wooded. Have been seeing lots does, hopefully will start seeing some bucks come through.

    This is what I have:

    From redneck scents

-tc plus combo scent (curiosity lure)
    -ole timer (doe in heat)

    From signal 11

    -tramp stamp (doe estrous)
-wet spot (scrape igniter...mix doe estrous, buck rut urine, preoribital, interdigital and sex organs

    From jackies scents

    -licking branch gel

My plan was to find a good tree with a branch about 3-5 feet off ground. Scrape debris from ground on base of tree, spray the wet spot scrape igniter on ground and tree base, setup a dripper, then put licking branch gel on branch. Put scrape igniter in the dripper. Use my doe estrous and curiosity lures for scent drags.

    My questions..

    1. Is this the best way to create a mock scrape with the stuff I have? Any advice appreciated.

    2. Should I payup for some isolated pre orbital and inter digital so I can put the pre orbital on the tree and interdigital on the ground, instead of the mix tramp stamp everywhere?

    3. Should I setup an estrous dripper too?

    Thanks.

I make the scrape with a stick, carry the stick away, and pee in it. Don't laugh, it works ! Very few scrapes made like this will NOT be taken over by a buck, IF , you pick the proper place. That would be where there is traffic, a licking branch at the correct height, etc.
