Has anyone had any luck with mock scrapes using a dripper? With the rut right around the corner I picked one up today just to see if I could get any bucks on camera. If anyone has any tips or advice I'd appreciate it.

I just tried one out too I've heard they produce but we shall see. I have the one that holds 4oz and needs temperature changes to work right.

I used to run some drippers... Just make sure to keep the dripper high enough so the deer can't get it.... They will stand on their hind legs or do whatever they can to get to it and I have had several ruined - stomped on, punctured, chewed on, etc...

Yep I sure have with the tinks scrape dripper. Currently I have been filling this with mock scrape scent by tinks also.

Yep, in the pre-rut I put about 2 out on a ridge line that deer frequent. I start out with buck urine in the dripper and just pour a little doe urine on the scrape itself every time I'm out (gradually adding more and more). Once the buck urine is empty (1 regular sized bottle usually lasts me about 2 weeks) I put doe estrus in the dripper and by then it's already an active scrape. Pouring the doe urine on the buck urine helps convince the buck that a doe is aware of the scrape but not in heat yet. This helps keep the buck interested in the scrape going back repeatedly to see when she is in heat (hence then you add the estrus) and he will stay close by to meet up with the doe while she's in heat. Little does he know you have an arrow with his name on it. :)

I put one out about a month ago, I got the one with the curly pipe on the end. I checked my camera a week ago and they walked right by it with out any interest. I don't know how long the juice inside actually lasted so I cant tell if it was just cause it ran out or they never were really interested. I am going to pick up a bottle of juice at wallyworld this week and see if I can get another one setup this week.
