And Tony, that's what I mean. MO and IL may have the bigger bucks but that don't mean diddly squat bro. I'm quite sure the river has a ton of 40# bighead carp swimming in it too, but I didn't shoot a single one that size all year.

How we doin this bro? First buck from each state, total inches? Just first buck period? How you wanna do this? And this is just bragging rights, yes??

Pressure? I eat that stuff for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

I've got an ace up my sleeve, too. I'm in this for the fun, I really don't give a damn who wins. The way I see it, we both already have. We're having fun with this now and we're gonna have fun with it all fall. And if we both shoot one, hey......all the better.

Mobow, in case you're still wondering the MO state record typical is 191 4/8 inch 10 point shot by Aaron McCauley in St. Louis County.

This should be a fun competition. I anticipate a lot of smack talk and a little bit of antler.:p

Well none of this was my idea. I came home the other day and was like....."UH, HUH??"

So I'm not making the rules. I'm following them. Sombody else is gonna have to make 'em. I wouldn't wanna be accused of manipulating them to my advantage after I beat you down.....:D

How about these rules, You enter your biggest buck of the season, anytime any State.

We'll see the first ones in the Contest, let's make this a season long endevour, Then one can see what he has to beat.

I do this with my Cuz every year. He lives in Wisconsin and can take 2 bucks. Then we hunt together in PA. It's a standing case of Beer bet.

Rule 1: First antlered animal down.
Rule 2: Must be taken w/archery equipment.
Rule 3: Smack talk should continue to the end of the contest.
Rule 4: No matter what, once this contest is over, each one shall congratulate the other.

It's all in fun and is bringing a little life to ease the pre-season jitters.

    I do too.......Let's combine the 2.

    1. Biggest buck of season, no matter if it's the first or 4th.
Rule 2: Must be taken w/archery equipment.
Rule 3: Smack talk should continue to the end of the contest.
Rule 4: No matter what, once this contest is over, each one shall congratulate the other.

How about some kind of weekly blog......Video if we've got it......Updated every......I dunno......Let's say Monday or something.....I think this could be a story worth following all season.

Dude, I would be lying to you if I said I wasn't worried. I am. Big time. I said it before and I'll say it again........I am getting more credit than I deserve based soley on where I live. The big boys may be here but......so what. Just because they're here don't mean anything other than.....they're here. Now, maybe that does at least give me a shot at it but.......If I were Jeff I wouldn't be holding my breath any.

This is a mighty fine match up and something tells me it's gonna be very, very close. Anything can happen in the deer woods. Anything. Just because I have 4 buck tags in my pocket don't mean a damn thing. I've had 3 in my pocket the last 5 years and only connected once. What's that tell ya?

We'll see what happens brother. All I know is, we're gonna have some fun with it and I suspect that's exactly how our Creator intended it to be.

How do you feel about a weekly update? Or bi-weekly....whatever.
