Going to be a tall rack on him for sure.. Nice looking young buck judging by where the neck meets the chest.

Have any pictures of this guy from last year? He's a stud!

I browsed through the few I have saved to photobucket and don't see him.

Will be going through my 2013 folder later tonight!

I never thought to upload all my buck pictures to photobucket...smart. I have hundreds of buck pictures on my computer eating up space...maybe I'll make the switch over

How much space do you get on photo bucket?

I believe it is 1GB - Plenty of space if you are just keeping the good pictures.

This MIGHT be him... Based on the tines going inward, but its hard to tell at this time. Thoughts?

That's a tough one. Way to early for me to tell. At first I thought no but the more I look at the rack going up then I guess it could be too. Time will tell for sure

The velvet buck has almost parallel main beams near the brows, this buck doesn't. I would think that he would keep that strong of a characteristic year after year

When I left for work this morning, I could have swore that October was here... 49 degrees. Temperatures are expected to hit a high of 60.

    60 days left until opener...

I'm torn on the picture as well. On the one hand, his brow tines seem to curve inward, like so... )( ... and from the angle of last years pic, they seem to do the same on that buck as well. However, I feel that the velvet buck from this year has an absurdly tall rack, where as the one from last year doesn't. Might be able to tell better with more pics. Also, loving the weather today. If it had been this cool yesterday I might have made it out to put up my cams.

The more and more I look at it, I don't think it is any of the deer I have from last year. The rack is going more vertical than all of mine last year.

Planning on getting the ground ready for a fall plot of winter rye within the next week or so... Hopefully we continue to get some more rain.

Nice. Looking good. Funny how we had more rain than we knew what to do with in May/ June, and now we are asking for more of it.

I dont think those are the same deer. I dont think the brows would change that much from one year to the next. They both went in last year and for them to go out this year is a pretty big change in character in my book. Just a thought.

    Agreed.

He's grown into a different deer we have not seen before.
