The rain is out of control.. Flooded fields everywhere, crops that were able to be planted in danger of dying.

We are about an hour north of Minneapolis so we got a little less than this but... 3.47" of rain as of 9:45 AM at MSP International, already the 6th wettest day since 1938. More storms tonight resulting in 4-8" of rain just today - On top of the 2-5" we have received earlier in the week.

Sometimes it's better to have more than one or even two for that matter. For years we only had one mineral site and now we have 3 with many different deer showing up at all of them. The one thing I found out the hard was is often does can take over a site and run off the bucks, especially when there were fawns around.

2 sites on a 40 acre property seem like a little much... I do have a spare bag of Raxx so I may try it.

Looking good so far. That's awesome that you have an albino running around out there. I would definitely say pass if you see that one. Good luck this year!

Thank you, sir!! Hoping to check the cams this Saturday - Refresh a Raxx site and will be leaving it alone for a big chunk of time.

What part of MN you from?

I'm originally from Southern MN, but am living in the twin cities area right now. I want to try and find some public land in the area that I can get out to, but I don't know how much luck I will have with that. If you or anyone else know of any good spots around the metro area shoot me a PM!

Thursday was the record wettest June day in the Twin Cities, as 4.13 inches fell on Thursday. This topped the old record from June 29, 1877 (3.48 inches). Also, through June 19, it has been the record wettest year-to-date in the Twin Cities, with just over 25 inches of precipitation (rain, melted snow equivalent). This is about 13 inches wetter than average for the year, so far.

The record June rainfall in the Twin Cities is 11.67" set back in 1874. We currently sit in 2nd right now at 10.76".

Hopefully next week will be dry, did you finally hear that they took the entire state off the drought list? Any more rain and we will be growing rice:)

Checked the cams last night - Albino finally showed up during daylight.

    http://forums.bowhunting.com/trail-cameras/62647-6-25-pull-albino-shows-himself.html

As for the property... I am getting very discouraged as how everything is turning out. Because of the rain there are 0 crops planted on the property this year. The Raxx site I set up in late March/April got 0 pictures during 3 weeks - Think they moved from winter bedding.

All of my pictures have come from a 2 year old salt lick that is just mud now. I've gotten thousands of pictures from this site that last month so I added a bag of Raxx to it last night.

Need to change the batteries in the cam and move my other 2 cams around today. The mosquitos almost ate me alive last night because I didn't bring the thermacell.

So after having 0 pictures on my Monster Raxx site over 3 weeks I decided to abandon it and move the camera. Changed the batteries in my other Covert and placed the other on the north side as well.

In the process... Whoops. Went through hell and high water getting this thing out - I now know why they didn't get the fields planted.

Just found the thread...I'll be following as well, love these threads.

Note to self, help the farmer out and clean the ruts up, nothing is worse for a field than ruts :) Keep up the good stuff!

Great point on the field - It's our field and the farmer who leases the land hasn't touched that side of it in 2 years because of how wet it has been. I actually followed his excavator tracks he left in the field!

Just flipped my quad 3 weeks ago and broke my femur in 5 spots. Got a rod put in from my hip to my knee, definitely a long road of rehab stay safe and good luck to him as we have the same battle

A guy down in my neck of the woods just flipped his quad.. He was drunk and not wearing a helmet. Lost pretty much all his front teeth and sounds like pretty serious brain trauma. Just a PSA to remember to wear helmets people!
