When establishing my mineral sites I try to make them easily accessible. This way you can get in and out easily without leaving too much scent around the site. I also like to put them on heavily used trails. Also another thing I like to do when trying to establish a new mineral site I'll spread half a 50# bag of corn on and around the site so they are able to find it easier.
With all that being said putting your minerals near the fields is a pretty good idea. Is there and water nearby? Because I have read in numerous places that putting minerals near a water source also isn't a bad idea.

We have water on the north side of the property... But the site I created 3 weeks ago is on the south end. Which is another reason I am thinking of creating another site to the north. Once the water levels go down I have a perfect spot... But with how much rain we are getting, who knows when I'll be able to set it up.

It maybe wouldn't hurt, but each one might not get hit as hard as just having one would

MidwestMachine might be right. IMO I would establish just one site since it is a small property. And if you get one going now and spread some corn the deer will find the mineral and they will continue visiting the site throughout the year.

I set up a Monster Raxx site about 3 weeks ago... I guess I will find out if they have found it once I check cams in a week or 2!

We'll be planting Monday if tomorrow's rain doesn't amount to anything.

By the responses I have gotten around the area... I don't think I will shoot it given the opportunity.

Talked to my girlfriends patents (who own the land), the albino is off limits.

Thanks to the guys at Monster Raxx. Ordered 2 bags of Raxx, the order was delayed just one day and they threw in some Apple Attractant for free because of it... Could not be happier.

One funny thing: On my first order my name was "Justin Kifer" and this order my name was "Joe Kiefer".

    Thanks again guys!

Hittin Leech Lake for some walleye action this weekend - Will be checking cams and refreshing the MonsterRaxx site on Sunday/Monday afternoon. Hope I have a better daytime picture of the albino.

Pics and stories to come after the weekend!
