LOL. I think some still may be carrying we covered A LOT of land. A lot.

    so either:

    A) we suck (very plausible)
    b) Bucks still have them on their heads

Possibly a combo of the two:deer:

Good luck in your search steve-o.

Yesterday while out leaving bootmarks in the snow, I saw 7 bucks with 2 antlers, and one buck with a single antler.....makes me think, at least for central wisconsin, the bucks are still holding.....

I deleted my tough guy pose off of photobucket. Legit mistake. I actually liked it.

Guess I'll have to find one this weekend. However, I'm not calling a shot this weekend. Too risky!

Haven't updated this is a good while.

Though I'm finding some PRIMO hunting areas, I realize that I still suck at shed hunting. The only antler to date is the one that I was forced to find, so I could leave. :(

We got another 6" of snow today, and I'm not happy about it. I had the little journy planned on some new hunting areas where Jake and I saw ~200 deer (no lie) yarded up.

I can't frickin' wait till spring!

It was pretty nuts. Most I've seen around here, but when they yard up, they really yard up around here.

Last winter accross the road (smallest group I saw in this field):

They stretched accross the field all the way to the woodline!

You mean to tell me with 200 deer yarded up in a field, you can't find ONE shed out of the lot? :busted:

Ray Charles found 8 in there last year, and that was just as he was making a single pass through the field.

I LOVE talkin smack about shed hunting from my position of NEVER finding one...makes alot of sense dont it?

Need me to send Buckeye up your way to help guide you around? He always seems to find sheds in states other than Ohio.

Found 1 shed today, and it was a good one. Never have seen this buck before, I'll call him "dagger". Pencil him under my hit list...now I gotta wait until next weekend, so I can go find the other side:D

I found it right in the middle of a small bean plot, not 150 yards from our pole barn. You can actually see it in the ATL pic...The G2 is 14".

Thatta boy Kyle! What a "dagger" indeed! How about you just pen that into your "hit list" and just go ahead and reserve the taxi spot next fall. :D
