Got to check my camera this weekend. As I suspected the deer are moving solely at night. Not one picture during shooting hours. All of the deer on the cam from the last week moved between 3 and 5 in the morning. Good thing I skipped this weekend in the stand. The new moon this coming week should make for a good hunt this coming weekend. Any other MN hunters experiencing this type of movement?

Not from MN but I am seeing the same thing in Virginia. All my trail cam pics are from 2AM to 6AM. Not a single daytime pic in 3 weeks. The bear are moving though. First day already had one come by, just not close enough!

I am seeing the same thing in Northern Minnesota. I usually see them in the field in front of my house in the evenings, but they have not been there for a month or so. However, they are there from midnight to 5am or so. I have not seen a deer yet from the stand. I took my 4 year old in the woods tonight to scout out a new spot, and we kicked one up from under one of my old stands. Maybe that is a good sign?

The wolves that my neighbor caught on his trail camera probably aren't helping, either.

New moon should help. Had some action at dusk this evening.

Where in Northern MN Wables? I'm up in Ely.

Nice, my brother is in Hermantown. My first house was north of Woodland on Vermilion Rd. Had bucks in my back yard all year long! Was only in that house for 2 yrs but I learned a lot about deer behavior.
