Some good ball games going on right now. Anyone still have a rooting interest? Predictions? LA is looking good, and with that pitching has to be the favorites. I'm hoping to snag tickets before tomorrows Cards game and watch them send the Bucs back to Pitt! In the AL I can't see anyone stopping the Red Sox.
Tigers fan here. Their bats are failing them right now. I can't see them going to far, but would love to see them beat the A's
Michael Wacha has been incredible his last two starts. Great game for him yesterday. Cole vs Wainwright tomorrow should be a good matchup. The Dodgers look good, but they should. That team is loaded with big name talent. Boston is my pick to take the AL pennant, but watch out for Oakland. They are legit.
Sox fan here. Loving this team this year. Last night was gut wrenching. Should have had the sweep. Hopefully game 4 is it.
Wacha is just sick. 2 hits in his last 16 innings I believe. Waino and Cole should be worth the price of admission.
I'm a Twins fan but pulling for the Pirates this postseason. I'm a Lariano fan. Mornau got traded to them who's also an ex Twin so I'm hoping they can get it done. That McCutchen dude or however you spell it seems like a decent guy also.
If the Cards fall tomorrow, they will be who I pull for. Fun team to watch, and they knocked out the Reds and got Dusty Baker fired, so they are okay in my book!
Wacha pitched an amazing game. Too bad he left one bad pitch in the wrong area to the wrong person. It is gonna be a good one in St. Louis. Lets Go Bucs!!
This isn't meant as a jab towards you guys but..... Why are the Braves constantly snake bitten in the playoffs? Is this 6 straight NLDS/Wildcard exits? Hard to win a best of 5 when you face Kershaw twice and Grienke once in 4 games.
No worries. That question is also the reason a lot of Atlanta fans are not on Bobby Cox sack as much as the rest of the free world. He had 4-5 legitimate first ballot hall of famers on the same team for years, and only got 1 ring. Managers win championships. Gonzalez made some questionable moves regarding our playoff roster. If we didn't have a huge lead heading into September, the Nats would have caught them, or at least put the pressure on enough to make it matter. Gonzalez is a bobby cox protégé, and both of them are notorious for shutting it down once the playoffs are in the bag. I think that brings them into the playoffs not hitting on all cylinders. I joked, that with the Falcons loss Monday night, along with the Braves loss, and the fact the hawks only have 2 legitimate NBA players on the roster that Atlanta's pro teams are done until next year already.
I'm a big Jim Leyland and Max Scherzer fan (local STL guy), so the Tigers are my AL team for those reasons. Hope the Verlander from last year shows up tomorrow night for you guys. How about an '06 WS rematch?
No thanks. STL got really lucky in that series. The Tigers had about 832 errors If we are having a WS rematch, lets have a do-over for 2004. That one still stings.
