You are terribly misinformed. Check the facts before you spout misinformation. BOTH sides had a hand in deregulation and in fact, Clinton signed the bill. It does take a little bit of effort to get the facts and speak the truth. Too bad so few are willing to put out that little bit of effort.

Bill Clinton (Sept. 24): Indeed, one of the things that has helped stabilize the current situation as much as it has is the purchase of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America, which was much smoother than it would have been if I hadn’t signed that bill. …You know, Phil Gramm and I disagreed on a lot of things, but he can’t possibly be wrong about everything. On the Glass-Steagall thing, like I said, if you could demonstrate to me that it was a mistake, I’d be glad to look at the evidence. But I can’t blame [the Republicans]. This wasn’t something they forced me into.

Ever heard of Barney Frank and his cronies? See where they were involved. You might learn something more.

Also, the Clinton administration was the one that forced lending institutions to lower their credit requirements and down payment requirements so that the lower and lower middle-class could "afford" to buy homes. It was a remedial recipe for disaster. Anyone that has taken Economics 101 could tell you that. I have a friend that is a bank president that can tell you how much pressure they got from the Feds to make bad loans. They were told that they would not receive any further fed funds for lending if they did not make the bad loans. But, the libs wanted everyone (didnt matter if they could afford it) to live the American dream. Why? Because it's just unfair that some folks dont have as much as others. lol

The problem with Romney is that his own party members are/were basically saying that he'll have to do since he's the best we got. That doesn't inspire confidence in the ever important independent voter.

Oh and trying to induce a $10,000 bet on TV didn't do him any favors either.

I wonder if we could recruit some decent candidates if the salary was raised to properly reflect the importance of the office. What we really need are folks that have actually spent time in the trenches working at a real job. Executive types that have worked with a budget and were successful in the business world. People that became executives by working their way up from an entry level position. Some real life experience folks that werent born into a trust fund.

Heck, we cant even get Rancid Crabtree to run because of the cut in pay. Maybe a few million bucks a year for a true business type President would save us all a few billion in the long run.

Dave, that won't happen. If you look at how many politicians go into DC with less than a mil in assets and then come out millionaires, you'll see money isn't the answer. Funny how many middle class and lower class people are willing to put their lives on the line for our way of life, and yet politicians still won't do what is good for the country, only what is good for themselves.

We have that in Snyder in Michigan. He simple does not care what either party wants. He has no ties to anyone. Michigan will have a budget surplus next year, and get this he did cut taxes, but he raised taxes and created a new one to pay for it. He also cut spending, I like the guy.

Actually becoming president can be extremely lucrative after you leave office. For instance, Bill Clinton's net worth is estimated to be around 80 million...much of it earned from book deals and public speaking fees...but i'm sure that is chump change to RC ;)

Ok got everything ready for my trip to Nevada.

Found a cotton shotgun bandoleer which will allow me to convert my 45ACP holster to a shoulder holster.

Nevada is a traditional O/C state, so we (my hiking buddy and I) being out of state (Calif and Az) can open-carry there without a Nev license.

Leaving in the morning, at first light, around 4:30 a.m. Takes me about 10 hours to drive to Las Vegas for 4 days of fun and hiking in the hot sun followed by poker in the dead of night.

Now ... to check the replies ... about Mitt ... the rich millionaire who wants to be president of the US to cap off his egotistical life style.

Well I would vote for Crabtree long before Mitt.

I don't know much about Crabtree other than he makes a lot of money.

But I already know Mitt is a lying scumbag.

Mitt is far from the best. Stop kidding yourself Reeps.

The best are Jeb Bush and Chris Christie.

But Jeb and Chris are betting that Barach will win again.

So they will wait to run next time, against Hillary.

You remind me of Jesse Ventura. Not a bad guy, for a high school grad.

It takes more than high school to run a state or a nation however.

You need to know a lot of macroeconomics Crabtree.

Wow this baby-san really wants a good spanking, I can tell.

This is how he acted on http://www.theoutdoorsforum.com/forums/

He eventually got enough people to dislike him and put him on the 'ignore' list. He ran out of people to talk to and moved on.

I actually liked to debate with the guy. His ignorance is amazing.[/QUOTE]

Boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, Ducky is our resident Oregon madman.

Sort of like in the song by Steely Dan:

    "Got a case of dynamite
I could hold out here all night
    I killed my old man
    Back in Oregon
    Dont take me alive."

It doesnt look like we settled anything. A few more postings for a hunting forum where most of the members have been deceived by the Reep lip service to gun rights although the Reeps have done nothing to actually enforce the 2nd Amendment.

    Rah rah ree, Reeps.

    We shall see in November.

I won't let you forget what happens in November, don't worry Reeps.

Gotta pack my Jeep Cherokee Sport for my trip to Vegas.

See you in 5 days, when I get back.

Leaving my computer here, locked up in my safe, with everything else except my 45ACP which always travels with me.

Why is Chris the best? His
State has lagged behind with unemployment. Besides his talk what has he done?

Shoobee can't answer right now... and anybody else who can't keep it above the belt can take a little break with him.
