I hunted in the Stockton area.
Plenty of deer and turkey in that area, especially around Lake Stockton.

What general part do you plan to go to? Be careful because some of them do not allow antlerless tags so bucks only, and the website generally sucks about advising the specifics on certain areas. If you pick a spot call the game officer (department) for that area to get the low down.

The only thing I might add is if you're coming here now you might want to key in on archery only areas. The areas that allow the orange army have run the deer nocturnal unless you wait for us to have quite a bit of snow on the ground. JMO
