Just throwing a kudos out there to Mission Archery. 2 weeks ago someone broke into my car in my driveway and stole my Mathews Outback. Older bow yes but I could compete with my friends with the Creed/Helim. Went to my local Mathews shop and because I am a 60/a week guy I can not afford a new Mathews. He set me up with the 2014 Mission Blaze with everything I had on my old bow ( Viper 4 pin, QAD, Drop dead). This bow is amazing. Have it at 70lbs and this thing flies. Its smooth, quiet, deadly fast. I am a Mathews only guy and luckily this bow is made by them. Now just need to rut to heat up here in Central NY and put one down. But for those who can not afford the newer Mathews, these Mission bows are the real deal. Good luck everyone!

They are made my Mathews. I have the Ballistic, and I love it. The only thing different from the blaze and ballistic is: 1. The blaze is $100 more, it is 10 fps faster, and has a walnut grip.

Lots of positives here, that is good to see. My son has a Parker Youth bow that I got at Gander Mountain all set up for around $350. He was a small kid then. Now he is a SR football player at 6 and 195 pounds and pulls my Switchback at 70 pounds just fine. His was at 40.2 pounds. I love Matthews, but I would like him to have the best I can get for him with going broke. I do have to send him to college! Mission? Please tell why? or what to get....

p.s. not trying to steal the thread.

I can't even describe my ballistic it is smoother than any bow I have ever shot and just feels nice. My dad is a Mathews guy and after shooting my Mission he said he would never spend $500 more dollars for his Mathews and instead get a Mission. I shot the Blaze and Ballistic but I actually prefer synthetic grips so I went with the Ballistic!

I was looking to actually get a nice setup in a bow and I did alot of research then I stumbled upon Mission. From what I read it was basically the same as the Monster just a different riser. and for $500 even it was a steal! I got it with a Fuse 5 pin, QAD Ultra Rest HDX, 6 inch axion stabilizer and Axion limb silencers and the string stop silencer and the thing is whisper quiet. I shoot easton Axis arrows out of it and they weigh 405 grains and at 70 lbs I'm shooting 290 fps. I've heard nothing but great things about Mission and you get a high performance bow for low cost. Can't beat that!

I shoot a Mission Eliminator II. I love it! Super fast and quiet! Great product from a great company. I was born and raised in Wisconsin. My father and brother both shoot Mathews bows. When I bought mine I was on a tight budget and my Dad said to take a look at the Mission bows. Couldn't be happier!

Well as I stated in the original post, I was just waiting for a big one to come along. Sat am at 10 here in Otsego County NY caught this guy cruising alone. Was able to put a good shot in the boiler maker at 30 yards. My biggest bow buck/buck in general. Nice 10. We are thinking he is 3 1/2. Field dressed 175. I am a happy guy! big 10.jpg

    Actually:

Blaze has a 2.5 inch longer ATA length
Blaze has a .875 shorter brace height
    Blaze has Harmonic Stabilizer stock

The shorter brace height makes me prefer the Ballistic, but the longer ATA makes me likes Blaze. "If" I was in the market, I would probably go for the Ballistic if I could live with the grip...but my Mission Venture looks to be my choice for at minimum another year or two if not 3 or 4 more.

I'll be keeping my Mission Venture as long as I can stand it or until I win the lottery and can afford a thousand dollar bow... then again, does one REALLY need a thousand dollar bow? probably not... but if I can ever afford to get 1 thousand dollar bow, I suspect I'll be able to afford several different thousand dollar bows...

haha true! Yeah, I'm at the point now where unless something crazy changes with bows I don't see the new ones worth it, especially the main four figure lines (I'd go Mission if I bought one now or next year). I am a fan of right now upgrading set up: rest and sights (did this year...also new longer stabilizer).

Next year plan is: new strings, new tapered arrows from Alaskan Bowhunting and experimenting with single beveled heads possibly.

I mean I'm not against guys that think they gotta have the new line each year or every other...but until I view it as worth it I'll be keeping my Venture (shoot I'd still be shooting my High Country if the limbs hadn't cracked).

Went today to my local shop and shot the Mathews Chill and the Mission Blaze and Ballistic. I have to say that to a virgin in the bow world I could tell very slight differences in the two but to me not enough to warrant the 300.00 difference. Also the fact that my local shop will set me up with the Blaze, a peep sight, d-loop, droop away rest, 4-pin sight, stabilizer, and quiver for the grad total of 775.00 after taxes. Really hard to pass up for a double cam bow that IBO rate at 340 fps.

The shops name is B&B ARCHERY formerly Bills Archery, they are locally owned and operated in Pearl Mississippi. It's where I'll be but all my bow needs.
