May not happen often but... The other morning, I got in my stand in the morning. Nocked an arrow and hung my bow on a hook. Was well int shooting light when I glanes at my bow. I had snapped my nock below the d_loop. Second time I've done that in the dark. I'm sure others have done the same over the years? Could be the reason for unexplained high/ low chip shots?
ive done this also, not sure on any missed shots thou. NOW i place my hand on the d-loop and place the nock into the d-loop. YRS AGO I FINISHED A DAY SIT AT 10 -11 AM and packed up and saw my nock under my loop.
I know I’ve done it before and I’ve often wondered if that’s the reason for a couple of complete misses on early morning deer within 20 yards. Now after I nock an arrow in the dark I feel to make sure the nock has a D loop knot above it and below it.
