Sunday morning started off pretty uneventful with nothing but a few does passing out of bow range and the morning was turning in to afternoon so I decided to call it and head for the house for a lunch and a quick nap, tied my
bow to the string lowered it down and started packing up not trying to be quiet or move slow as the hunt was over for the morning in my mind. I gave one more look around and to my surprise a MONSTER 8 was 20 yards on the way rite in front of my stand, I was shocked and did not know what to do , this was the biggest buck I have seen all year and all my gear is put up. luck let me slowly get my bow back up to my stand with out being seen, I was shaking so bad that I was sure I was going to be busted, I Knock an arrow and draw my bow and he stops rite behind
the only brush I did not trim and stays there for what felt like forever (probably 2 mins) and I am getting tired.
he finally moves to my sent wicks and stops rite where I want about 15 yards out I settle what I thought was my 10 20 pin on the sweet spot and let it fly and I watch the arrow comb the hair on his back. WHAT THE F*** did I use my 30 yard pin for????????? All I can say is I had buck fever, I am a great shot with a bow and would have no problem in a target situation hitting a 50cent piece at that distance, I choked!!!!! I admit I was a nervous wreck
as this would have been my 1st buck with a bow not to mention the largest buck I have seen in years.

Thanks for reading this and know I will be thinking of this for years to come
