I had an old tripod that was of poor quality taking up space… So I decided to try making my own mount for my camcorder. I used a mounting bracket I already had and used the base off the tripod. I attached it upside down so I could still fold and store the bracket in my pack. I used another thing I had laying around called “Miracle Weld.” This stuff is awesome! It’s a moldable epoxy that is like a putty. It hardens to near steel-like toughness and almost matches the color of the bracket. Only thing I wished I would have done differently would be to have a 3-arm bracket. We’ll see how it works!
